Pierson Lakes, Sterlington, New York |
In 1795, the family of Josiah Gilbert Pierson began acquiring land in the mountains Native Americans called “Ramapo.” For nearly two centuries, the Pierson family has owned, maintained and preserved the natural beauty of several thousand majestic acres. Today this lush mountainside preserve is evolving into a residential community, where stunning new homes exist side-by-side with unspoiled wilderness and protected wildlife.
Since 1990, a limited number of home sites, ranging in size from four to fourteen acres, have been offered for sale. Each of these richly-wooded properties has been individually planned by the Pierson's environmental team to offer a comforting combination of view, light, space and privacy. A limited number of residences have been constructed using the very highest quality architectural design and imagination with a sensitivity toward the pristine natural environment.
In addition to the protected natural benefits of its land and lakes, Pierson Lakes provides round-the-clock security and a welcoming gatehouse.
The year-round opportunities for nature and sports enthusiasts are endless. Two sparkling 100 acre lakes offer canoeing, sailing, swimming and skating, and their great bass and perch fishing are legendary. Surrounding the lakes are miles of riding, hiking, walking and cross country trails from which you can easily spot both blue heron and soaring eagles. A rustic lakeside pavilion and boathouse provides a refreshing focus for residents and guest activities.
Pierson Lakes is located just 29 parkway miles from the George Washington Bridge and a pleasant drive from the Bergen, Passaic, and Westchester County heartlands.
